On the Rider–Waite–Smith card, a hand emerges from a cloud holding a golden cup that overflows with five streams of water into a pond of lotus flowers. A dove descends toward the cup carrying a wafer marked with a cross.
The overflowing cup shows abundant feeling. The five streams are often linked to the five senses. The lotus flowers rise from water, a symbol of emotional and spiritual growth, and the dove brings peace.
